Tyler graduated from Utah State University in 1971 with a B.S. degree in Accounting. In 1977 he earned his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation while working for a local CPA firm for three years. He began his own CPA practice later in 1977, built it into a successful sole-practitioner practice and has also been involved in helping start and manage several privately held companies. He earned his General Securities Representative licenses in 2000 in order to better serve his tax and accounting practice clientele with financial services.
Tyler is focused on his income tax practice and providing many of those clients with independent investment management services. He believes in the value of integrating income tax and retirement planning with investment financial services. He works closely with Mark Moffitt and Ryan Moffitt, their investment management services rely on a proactive asset management approach designed to reduce market risks while striving for reasonable returns.
Tyler's CPA practice allowed him the flexibility to be heavily involved in various youth sports programs for many years with his three children. He is married with five grandchildren and enjoys spending time with his family going boating, skiing, playing golf and other recreational activities.
