Kathleen Voorhees

Kathy Voorhees is the newest member of the Investment Management Consultants team. Kathy has eighteen years experience in the financial services industry. Licensed in securities and insurance since 1993, Kathy has worked with clients ranging from high net worth individuals to college students opening their first investment account.

Kathy guides her clients in setting realistic goals for their investment dollar as well as encouraging them to save regularly. "The majority of the dollars you will spend in retirement are the dollars you will personally save." Educating clients is a big part of Kathy’s investment philosophy. She enjoys teaching her clients about the intricacies of the financial markets and the time value of money. She wants her clients to understand their investments and is willing to give the time that it takes to help clients grasp the concepts.

A graduate of the University of Utah, Kathy earned Magna cum laude honors and was nominated to the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, a collegiate association dedicated to recognition and promotion of academic excellence.

Family activities are high on her list, including annual vacations with the family and frequent participation in tennis and skiing. She also schedules time to volunteer with various community organizations including tutoring patients at Primary Children’s Hospital and working with the Utah and Salt Lake County Medical Alliance.
